Bribie Island
The Surf Club Bribie Island was opened by the Surf Lifesaving Club in 1980. Originally the Club was only opened on weekends and during school holidays. It was staffed by volunteers as the sole sole purpose of the club was for the patrolling members to meet. The word soon spread about the excellent views and relaxing atmosphere and this enabled the club to extend it's hours and open 7 days each week.
The Surf Club Bribie Island is the major source of income for the community based Surf Lifesaving Club. We have found over time that we have to walk an extremely fine line between being competitive in the hospitality industry whilst supporting the surf club 100%. We have been able to achieve this and it has allowed the lifesaving club to complete phase one of major extensions. The supporters club is now at the beginning of it's own upgrade which will enhance all of our amenities.
The supporters and lifesaving clubs are two separate organizations with one common goal - making the beaches of Bribie Island a safe place to be whilst providing our community with a competitive sporting body and club the whole family can enjoy every day of the year.
So support the club that is always there for you and your family's
